According to police sources, the incident occurred at around 9 a.m. when the elderly woman was alone at her house. Investigators said the accused allegedly took advantage of the situation, entered her room, and raped her.
Residents said the woman's cries for help alerted people nearby, who immediately rushed to the scene. By the time locals arrived, the accused had fled from the spot.
After receiving information about the incident, a police team reached the residence and found the survivor bleeding. She was immediately taken to the district hospital for medical treatment and examination.
Sadar Circle Officer Himanshu Mathur confirmed that the survivor has been sent for a medical examination. He stated that the accused has been taken into custody and that further legal action will be initiated on the basis of the medical examination report and the formal complaint submitted by the woman's family.
Police officials said a thorough investigation is underway to establish all circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities are continuing legal proceedings while gathering evidence related to the case.
